Who Are YOU Becoming?

Have You Lost Your Passion 1Well it finally happened. The move after 20 years, selling of our home (not quite complete yet)  and the transition into ownership of The Balch Hotel. But not without a bit of difficulty.

On moving day as we unloaded the truck I injured myself: broke 2 toes, stitches, mangled toenail–kind of a rough passage. Oh how I resist being injured!

Trying to unpack was a gnarly challenge in a soft cast and 4 flights of stairs. I’ve spent lots of time just being here, healing and listening.

Great lessons, but frustrating still! Perhaps this is what we need to get the messages sometimes.I imagine you can relate. And yet I also see the blessings.

This move and injury has required me to ask for support and do things collaboratively, (which I thought I was already good at!) rather than struggle alone. It certainly has slowed me down to be present and take in my new surroundings.

Being here–where the Columbia Gorge meets Oregon’s high desert–is really a journey into a foreign land. Sure, they speak the same language. Other than that, the similarities are few.

It’s obvious that something different is ready to emerge. I’ve had glimmers and glimpses…and it’s pretty sweet and generative.

The question of the month is, Who Am I Becoming? And what is she yearning to express?

The magical thing about working with Feminine Soul is that She is always there to guide. Its a matter of not going on auto-pilot and instead allow the new be present.

The stage is being set for a major reconfiguration and rebirth of Bliss Breakthrough and The Magdalene Path in a truly magical manner.

We’re living in a gorgeous elegant boutique hotel that functions as a retreat for weary souls from all over Oregon, Washington and beyond.

Already we’ve had 1 wedding, 2 concerts and a winemakers dinner–in only 6 weeks! And I opened the spa:  Bliss at the Balch (see that here: BalchHotel.com/Spa) and we added a dinner menu for guests.

And I’m talking with amazing women who want to offer retreats here (email me if you want to explore that).

Meanwhile, I’ve had the great pleasure of writing for a new on-line magazine, Bella Mia, whose whole mission is to support women in true beauty, transformation and holistic living. It’s awesome and gorgeous. You can sign up to receive future issues here (it’s free for now!)

So here’s an article I wrote for the June issue. It’s pretty timely. There’s a simple tool to walk your path with more joy. How timely.

And you can see the rest of the magazine here.

Have You Lost Your Passion?

ClaireSmileSome days our passion, radiance and vitality seem like distant memories.  You know what I mean: your sparkle, your juicy aliveness–the beauty that you are–vanishes.  It happens to the best of us.

Sometimes in the cyclic nature of life we’re on fire, feeling inspired and at the top of our game. In those moments we feel unstoppable in activating our fullest purpose and potential. Everything is going amazingly great. Life feels full of possibility.

Then there are other times. You know what I mean: your spark is dim, your zest is zapped, maybe your sexuality too.  You’re on the brink of despair. It feels horrible!

Many of us don’t even like to admit we get to that point. But it does. What to do?
