We all have an inner compass: we are designed to know Truth. We can know who we really are and why we are here: our unique blessing and purpose. We can know right from wrong, and we can choose Truth, because it feels better.

Yet I sometimes feel powerless to make the big changes that seem to be called for. It seems that the larger issues are not something that I can affect. The political is just so….political. Despite being surrounded by like-minded souls I can feel so alone.

This creates a cultural, economic and environmental disconnect, a deep dis-empowerment that as women we can attend to.

Some of us sense that some part of our lives are not working, personally as well as collectively. Many more of us are feeling called to be living a bigger, more creative, self-expressed version of the life we are now living.

Not that anything is necessarily so bad with this life. But we sense that there’s something more we came here to do or be.  We yearn to feel more connected, more aligned.

But how does this relate to the Divine Feminine?

You know there is a deeper truth, Spirit, than you are in touch with on a daily basis. Life is busy and overwhelming. Who has time to connect? And how is that going to get the laundry done or bills paid?

For centuries (millennia perhaps), women had our own connection to Source. We gathered in small circles, in groves or sacred places that were out of the way of the mainstream. This became forbidden: outlawed in the middle ages as women were killed for these practices with charges of witchcraft.

Why was it dangerous for women to get together to pray? We access our deep inner wisdom, with each other and Spirit: a compelling source of strength and power.

We lost that. Women were convinced that our experiences and our bodies were dirty and shameful. We were told that that our emotions were crazy, that we couldn’t lead because we were too emotional and unbalanced. Yet has this leadership without emotion created great results?

As long as we remain distanced from direct connection to Spirit, and each other, we look to authority (news, church, society) to tell us the story. All kinds of crazy things can be justified in the name of religion (or science or economics) when we do not have our own access to God/Spirit/Truth.

This is where the awakening of the Divine Feminine comes in. Connecting with the divinity within ourselves, something long denied, we can come home.

Accessing the feminine face of God allows us to embody our own beauty, wisdom and truth. This is a practice and perspective that can be learned and cultivated.

Imagine as a girl you learned and embodied the essence of your own wholeness and divinity? You knew from birth that you were sacred and that your life mattered. From this deep knowing you received guidance about your life: the direction you need to take.

How would your life be different now? That is still possible.

Come home to yourself, but don’t do it alone. Our “herstory” as women tell us we do this together. “We can’t become ourselves, by ourselves, personal growth is a team sport,” Claire Zammit says.

Find your sacred circle of sisterhood. Get support for connecting to your own wisdom, following your dreams and visions. We need partnership to make changes, stay on track and follow through. Or life becomes stagnant, lonely and isolating.

The awakening of the Divine Feminine is about your transformation, yes, but it’s not just about you. Sure, you want a radiant, juicy life, but you hunger for bigger changes too, for everyone. So it’s a planetary issue.

This is revolutionary self care, a spirit-infused political act. It requires knowing that what we do and who we are matters, for the good of all beings. And we can only start with ourselves, where we are.

Awakening the truth of your own deep, soulful magnificence will change your life, yes. Thus, it will change the way you relate to the world. And the world will be changed.

That’s how the awakened Divine Feminine moves. One transformation at a time will bring us all home: to our own divine nature and a whole new Earth.
